Ingredients Each 118ml delivered dose contains: Sodium phosphate monobasic 19g and sodium phosphate dibasic 7g.Also contains: Sodium methyl hydroxybenzoate 0.04% wand#47;v
Warnings Do not use laxative products when nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain are present unless directed by a doctor.If you notice sudden change in bowel habits that persists over a period of two weeks, consult a doctor before using a laxative.Rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement after use of a laxative may indicate a serious condition; discontinue use and consult a doctor.Laxative products should not be used longer than one week unless directed by a doctor.Prolonged use of laxatives is undesirable and may result is dependence.Drink plenty of water. Increase fibre in diet.As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek medical advice before using this product.Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children.Incase of accidental ingestion or overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a Poison Information Centre immediately.
Directions Adult: One bottle (118ml, delivered dose), or as directed by a doctor.Children over 2 years: One-half adult dose, or as directed by a doctor.Do not administer to children under 2 years of age.Left side position: Lie on left side with knee bent, arms resting comfortably.Knee-chest position: Kneel, then lower head and chest forward until left side of face is resting on surface with left arm folded comfortably.Administering enema: Remove orange protective shield from rectal tip before inserting.Hold cap upright, grasping grooved bottle cap with fingers. Grasp orange protective shield with other hand, pull gently to remove.With steady pressure, gently insert enema tip into rectum with a slight side-to-side movement, with tip pointing toward naval. Insertion may be easier if person receiving enema bears down, as if having a bowel movement. This helps relax the muscles around the anus.Squeeze bottle until nearly all liquid is expelled.Remove tip from the rectum.Discontinue use if resistance is encountered. Forcing the enema can result in injury.Note: It is necessary to empty bottle completely. Bottle contains more than the amount of liquid needed for effective use. A small amount of liquid will remain in bottle after squeezing. Maintain position until urge to evacuate is strong (usually 2 to 5 minutes).If after the enema solution is administered there is no return of liquid, contact a doctor immediately as dehydration could occur.
