Security & Privacy

• We are bound by the National Privacy Principles set out in the Commonwealth of Australia Privacy Act 1988, and are fully committed to complying with those principles.

• Patient’s medical details and all dispensed prescriptions recorded in our internal computer are private and confidential to the patient only and cannot be accessed by any third party (except in circumstances required by law). Each time we dispense a prescription, we are required by the National Health Act and relevant State/Territory Pharmacy legislation, to collect and hold details about the customer concerned. These details are also used to warn of possible drug interactions and adverse drug reactions and ensure safe usage and delivery of medicines to the patient. In addition, we need to record our customers’ purchase details to be able to issue receipts, refunds, etc.

• If required, you have the right to access the personal information that we may hold about you. Speak to one of our Customer Service team members.

• We do not use ‘cookies’ to track our customers’ visits to other web sites.

• We use 128-bit two-key encryption (SSL encryption) technology to protect your name, address and credit card details. This makes it virtually impossible for your information to be stolen or intercepted while being transferred. The Comodo TrustLogo that appears in the lower right-hand corner of your shopping trolley and payment pages verifies your secure transaction. • We do not store credit card information on our web server. That’s why we request your credit card details each time you submit an order online.

• If you have any concerns about privacy issues, please do not hesitate to contact us and outline your concerns to the pharmacist in charge, so we can address them as soon as possible.
